friday has arrived, let's chat

Friday, friday, friday... It is so very nice to see you again. I am ready to say buh-bye to this week and hellllooo to the weekend, how about you?! And one of my favorite ways to kick-start my Friday is with a few of my favorites from the week.

ONE
First and foremost, I end this week humbled and thankful. A small trial came my way, one I'm still going through. And someday, I may share the details, but for today, know that this small trial is really no trial at all. It is merely an inconvenience - the issue at hand, fixable. And although the solution is somewhat costly in regards to time and money, it is still just that - fixable. It is not an illness that cannot be cured or even words that you cannot take back. I should explain that this was not my attitude the first couple of days. My first reaction was to panic, whine, and complain. But as the week has trudged on, God has helped me accept my circumstances and choose to be thankful instead of murmuring. He is always in control, He is always there, and He always provides.

TWO
Another thing I am incredibly grateful for is sunshine. It seems as if it has been raining for so long. I cannot remember the last time I saw a peek of sunshine - it's been at least a week. It truly lifts my soul when I pull into the driveway, the sun is shining, and I look out across the farm. Breathtakingly beautiful. And my hubby and Little J have been building a new fence, doesn't it look sharp?!

THREE
I am super duper psyched about the new WW app for one reason and one reason only. It syncs with my Fitbit. Seriously. I am the worst at counting activity unless I actually do some serious workout. The apps automatically talk to each other and voila! I've earned activity points that I can eat! Today was an exceptionally good day for me steps-wise and it equated to 4 WW Points. I think I'll eat a few Hershey's Kisses, the kind with caramel - Yum!

FOUR
Have I ever mentioned how easily amused I am? Well, let me give you an example. Ziplock Space Saver Bags. Seriously, the coolest thing ever. I have heard time and time again how awesome these are, but never put forth the effort or courage to try them. I have always just stuck with what I know, and that's tubs and crates for storage. Look at this!! And it was so easy - stuff the bag, suck out the air. That's it.

FIVE
Finally, I'll leave you with a snapshot of the monster buck my dad killed this past week - with a bow! That's some serious skill.

Oh, and in case you missed it - on Monday I shared what we've been up to for the last three weeks during my little absence from the blogosphere - I love our Christmas Tree!

Hope you each have amazing weekends!

  5. I was very excited when I re-joined WW and saw that my Fitbit will now sync! And I think I'm going to have to pick up a few of those Ziplock space savers for my mom. We have become the storage unit for my nephews baby clothes and there's just not enough room in the basement!
